Certified Guide
We work together as a team, the jungle guides team are certified by the ITGA-HPI association who are passionate about the jungle, who care about the rainforest and who are committed to protect its flora and it’s fauna.Local Knowledge
Rimba is the team leader and most of our guides got their knowledge from a biologist while they were working in another famous sustainable and eco-friendly guesthouse in Bukit Lawang. All our guides have been trained by the ITGA-HPI Indonesian Guide Association and often follow complementary trainings organised by the association.

Recycle oportunity
Sumatra Jungle Explore taking a very serious on the waste and left overs. All the leftovers and waste are brought back to the village and handed to the waste management team - Trash bank Bukit Lawang.Recycle oportunity
We also collecting recycle-able trash, such as cans and plastic bottle and handed over to the recycling company at the end of the month. Our organic waste is donated to Project Wings for the production of compost for their organic garden.
Transparency Policy
Fair for the others and all stakes and the participant is our core values. Transparency is one of the fairness concept. Sumatra Jungle Explore always obtained the national park permits and the Indonesian guide contribution. By doing that we always take a group photo with the ticket and the permits on our hands.National Park Permit
Each person will need to have the national park permit prior entering the national park. Some other offering a cheaper price for the tour, then cut corner and not paying the entrance fee and the permits. You could actually ask for it before you entering the national park.
Training
Every member of our jungle team will have a training period to check if they are compliant with our core values and able to be a team player and get along with the other team members. The jungle explores tours required a solid team to accomplish and completed all the tours and return back to the village safely.Solid Team

Local dishes
We will provide you with the local foods all the way from the start to the finished. Indonesian food is so variety and very delicious. Try them all. The dishes will be freshly cooked and prepared by the experience jungle chef. Please make sure that you tell them what is your diet requirements.Tropical fruit
