End of Tour
Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes are naturally present in the tropical rainforest. We strongly recommend bringing and regularly using mosquito repellent.
Local mosquito repellent can also be purchased in Bukit Lawang. Some locally available products may contain relatively low concentrations of DEET, so travelers who prefer a stronger or higher-DEET repellent should bring their preferred product from home.
Leeches
Leeches are naturally present in parts of the rainforest, particularly in wet conditions. Your guide will explain how to deal with them safely and can assist you if necessary.
Weather & Trail Conditions
The rainforest is a natural environment, and weather conditions can change quickly. Trails may become muddy, slippery, or more challenging after rain. The exact trekking route and campsite locations may therefore be adjusted according to weather, river conditions, wildlife activity, and safety considerations.
Wildlife
All wildlife encounters are in their natural environment. Sightings are never guaranteed, and our guides prioritize responsible wildlife observation without disturbing the animals.
